When we describe Makeshapes as a platform for group learning, most people think about delivery—getting a group of learners into an experience, together, wherever they are. But great experiences start well before delivery, in the craft of building them. And building takes time: writing, structuring, narrating, translating.
That's the part we want to give back to you. Today we're introducing Makeshapes Assist—a set of AI-powered helpers built right into the Makeshapes authoring experience, designed to take the busywork out of creation so you can spend your time on the learning.
What Assist does today
- Shape Assist: go from a rough idea, brief, or document to a draft experience in minutes, ready for you to refine. Built on Shape.
- Text-to-speech voiceover: add natural narration to any slide without recording a thing.
- Subtitle translation: automatically transcribe your audio and video and translate the subtitles into over 50 languages.
- Multi-language experiences: deliver a whole experience in your learners' own languages.
Each one removes a specific bottleneck—drafting, narrating, translating—while keeping you, the creator, in control of the final result. Assist gives you the first draft; you make it yours.
You stay in control
Assist is a helper, not the author. It drafts, narrates, and translates—you review, edit, and decide what reaches your learners. AI output can be inaccurate, so nothing is published on your behalf; every result is yours to accept, change, or discard. The goal is to speed up the craft of building experiences, never to replace your judgement.
Plainly, on your data
We don't train on your data. Assist is for inference only—your content is used to generate your output and nothing else. Neither Makeshapes nor the AI providers that power these features use your data to train, fine-tune, or improve any model. Only the content needed for each request is sent, it's used solely to generate your result, and it isn't retained to build profiles or models. The details live in our Data Processing Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy.
How to turn it on
Makeshapes Assist is opt-in and rolling out to Enterprise customers as part of the platform, with a generous usage allowance. It's built on enterprise-grade AI infrastructure, and like everything on Makeshapes, it's optional—your account manager can enable or disable it at any time.

Groups from any location can participate without needing an expert or trained facilitator.
